Harassment Restraining Orders

In order to gain a Harassment Restraining Order in Anoka County, the petitioner must prove that the respondent is adversely affecting the safety, security, or privacy of another through repeated, intrusive, or unwanted act, words or gestures. The relationship of the petitioner to the respondent is not significant.

Domestic Abuse Order for Protection

An order for protection (OFP) is issued by the court in order to protect victims of domestic violence. The order requires the abuser to stop harming or threatening the victim. In order to file for an OFP, paperwork must be filled out in the Family Court area of Anoka County Court Administration. The process is likely to take over an hour to complete.
