Reserving City Parks and Facilities
Take the time to visit the many beautiful city parks that St. Francis has to offer.  The Parks are for the use of ALL residents.   Just a few of the amenities that the parks offer are walking trails, playground equipment and sports fields.  Check out the Informational Kiosks at Woodbury Park and Highland Woods Park for city updates.

Woodbury Park (in center of town) and Community Park (off Hwy 47) as well as other city facilities such as the Community Center and the Sports fields can be reserved for personal use by residents as well as non-residents for a fee.  For more information call City Hall at 763-753-2630.  
 
Help keep our City Parks Clean

Pick up your trash and please clean up after your pets while using the city parks & trails.  The City Prohibits Tobacco use on all City-owned parkland.

Community Park
22825 St. Francis Blvd off of 227th Ave NW.
Park amenities include a Park Shelter, Concessions Building with Restrooms, Playground equipment, Volleyball Court, Baseball diamond, Walking paths, and Green space.  Located just the North of Community Park is a Warming house with a Hockey rink and Pleasure rink.  The Warming house is located at 3949 229th Ave NW.



Woodbury Park

3646 Bridge St. NW between Rum River Blvd. and Woodbine St. Park amenities include a Gazebo, Fountain with perennial flower garden, park benches, Brick Paver paths, green space, and a Informational Kiosk.  Numerous weddings and events are held at this park throughout the year.  It is also home to our annual Oktoberfest Celebration.  Have a brick personalized >click here for more information.
 


Hidden Ponds Park
23950 Roanoke St. NW, off Ambassador Blvd.  
Park amenities include Playground equipment, Baseball Diamond, Soccer Field, Walking Paths, and a 44-stall parking lot.





 
Dellwood River Park

22854 Silverod St. NW, located in the Dellwood River Estates development, off Poppy St.  This is a 10 acre park with approximately 1.5 miles of paved walking paths located along the Rum River.








Seelye Brook Park
4540 229th Ave NW in the Deer Creek Development off County Rd. 81.  This is a joint park with the City of Oak Grove.  Park amenities include Playground equipment, Walking paths, Sledding Hill, and a 10-stall parking lot located off of Makah St.






Deer Creek 2nd Park

4138 232nd Ave NW.  Park amenities include Playground equipment, Gazebo, Walking trails, and an Observation deck overlooking a wetland.






Highland Woods Park
3060 233rd LN off of Ivywood St. NW in the Highland Woods Development.  Park amenities include Playground equipment, Walking paths, and an Informational Kiosk.








Durigan Locher Park
23248 Woodbine St. in the Durigan Locher 6th Development.  Park amenities include a paved walking path leading to Playground equipment.






DeGardner Park

23575 DeGardner Cir, between the DeGardner Circle and Ambassador Squares developments.  Park amenities include Playground equipment and a ½ court Basketball Court.







Rum River Woods Park
22635 Vintage St. NW between the River Shores and Rum River Woods Developments off of Rum River Blvd at the Southern edge of the city.  Park amenities include Playground equipment and Green space.







Rum River North County Park
Part of the Anoka County Park System

23100 Rum River Blvd, West of St. Francis High School.  The 80-acre Rum River North County Park is the northern access to the Rum River Canoe Corridor, which begins in St. Francis, passes by Rum River Central Regional Park, and ends in the City of Anoka at Rum River South County Park. Beautiful natural features such as restored native prairie, great vistas of the Rum River, and thick canopies of mature hardwood trees.  Amenities include picnic pavilions, a play structure, fishing pier and scenic overlooks. DNR Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs)
The City of St. Francis is home to two Wildlife Management Areas (WMA); Bethel WMA and Carl E. Bonnell WMA.  The Bethel WMA is located on the eastern edge of town and accessible off of County Rd 24.  The Carl E. Bonnell WMA is located on the West side of town and is accessible off of Ambassador Blvd NW (County Rd. 28)

Wildlife management areas (WMAs) are part of Minnesota's outdoor recreation system and are established to protect those lands and waters that have a high potential for wildlife production, public hunting, trapping, fishing, and other compatible recreational uses. They are the backbone to DNR's wildlife management efforts in Minnesota and are key to:
  • protecting wildlife habitat for future generations
  • providing citizens with opportunities for hunting, fishing and wildlife watching
  • promoting important wildlife-based tourism in the state
