Our department has a great history of providing trusted fire and rescue services to the citizens of St. Francis. All firefighters of the St. Francis Fire Department are extremely well trained in fire suppression and in medical response; and are dedicated to protecting the citizens of our community, and our community as a whole. We are qualified to provide the best fire and rescue services available.
The St. Francis Fire Department was incorporated on May 9th 1963, and currently operates out of a single station located at 3740 Bridge Street. We provide 24 hour-a-day medical and fire response. We operate a variety of emergency equipment including two engines, one rescue truck, two tankers, and one grass truck.
The St. Francis Fire Department's primary responsibility is for fire suppression, first responder medical care for the sick and injured, special rescue, fire inspections, arson investigations, fire prevention and public relations. We protect approximately 7,000 citizens over an area of about 27 square miles. The city of St. Francis houses its own Police Department, School District, and an abundance of industry and retail services. We participate in an active mutual aide/auto aide program to ensure sufficient resources from and for our neighboring fire departments when needed.
